So, they've got a new coach. Signed JJ hardy for a 1 year, Bush for a 1 year, Cameron for $10 Million, there's talks about the Brewers working on a deal to sign Counsell - after declining his 2009 option for $3.9 million.

Hart is seeking $3.8 million, and the team offered $2.7 million. Weeks is seeking $2.8 million, the Brewers offered $2 million.

Those two are likely to be signed with in the next week, I'm guessing. Weeks I could do without...

Fielder needs to pass his physical and looks like he'll get a 2 year deal for $18 million.

They signed Trevor Hoffman, all-time leading save leader, age is the only factor I see, but he should be able to get us at least ... at LEAST... 10 more wins by actually SAVING the game rather than blowing it.

Pitching seems to still be the "iffy" factor... Gallardo will be back, but that doesn't make up for CC and Sheets, even if Sheets' vagina reached it's breaking point, he was good for 12-13 wins a year.

A few young guys I'm looking forward to see play... Escobar, Gamel, and Lamb.

The thing players need to realize is that if you are even remotely solid of a player you will ALWAYS have a spot in wisconsin sports, be it the packers, bucks, or brewers.

Look at many packersp layers that had like 2good games in a row, they were set for years to keep playing even if they started to suck total wanghole.

I heard that the Boston Herald reported that the Brewers were looking to trade for Jake Peavy from San Diego, JJ Hardy's name was in the trade. I dont know why the Boston Herald is reporting Brewer Padre dealings when they are in the American leauge.

I think that the Crew will wait untill the mid season point to make a move. I hate to say it but it makes the most fiscal sense. Why get a big cost guy (be it cash or players in trade) if your not really into it.

Being a fan i dont want them to wait, make the move now so your in the race mid season.

Yeah, probably make another midseason move like they did with CC... when they realize they have a chance again. But why wait like you said? Get that guy now and have a 15 game lead with two weeks left at the end of the year rather than the nail biter to the last minute like last year. Granted, that was cool, but...

Sheets I just heard is considering elbow surgery that will take him out for the ENTIRE 2009 season.

You can squeak by with 2 yard rushes all season but a 10 yard punt gets noticed, quickly. That's his own fault. 40 yards would be sufficient and even I can kick that far.
